About Shinjuku Granbell Hotel
Hotel Granbell Shinjuku opened in December 2013 and is located in the Kabuki-cho area of Shinjuku. New rooms were added in December 2016. Higashi-shinjuku metro station is a 4-minute walk away, and JR Shinjuku East Exit station is a 15-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is entirely non-smoking and has free Wi-Fi throughout as well as a bar on the terrace on the 13th floor.
Rooms have air conditioning, heating, an iPod docking speaker, a flat-screen TV with paid video-on-demand access, a refrigerator, an electric kettle, a telephone, and a safe available at reception. All beds are Simmons brand. Bathrooms include bathtubs with support handles and showers with special bath chairs, towels, slippers, pajamas, and complimentary toiletries are provided.
The hotel has a restaurant serving French and Italian cuisine on the 12th floor and a café with terrace seating surrounded by greenery on the ground floor. The rooftop bar serves alcoholic drinks with views of Shinjuku at night.
Reception operates 24 hours. Luggage storage is free, self-service laundry is available for an additional fee. Private parking can be reserved for an extra charge.

Shinjuku Sanchome metro station is seven minutes’ walk away, JR Shinjuku Station can be reached in ten minutes on foot. Roppongi district and Meiji-jingu Shrine are about ten minutes away by metro, Shinjuku Gyoen Park is approximately twelve minutes’ walk from the hotel.

The hotel room was huge and way roomier than the usual tiny ones in Japan, with plenty of well-stocked amenities. The location wasn’t great, but the room itself was fantastic.
