Comfortable bed with enough space to open two suitcases on the floor and a small balcony for hanging laundry were in the apartment, which was well equipped and typical Japanese style but not very spacious. The owner was responsive and helpful, while paid parking was just in front of the building. The neighborhood had many food places, a 24-hour laundromat, two food marts, grocery shops, and convenience stores within walking distance, the station was an eight-minute walk away with one or two stops to Shinjuku.
