We found the hotel comfortable and quiet, just outside the busy Shinjuku center, which we liked because the area felt calm and showed a more real side of Tokyo. The room was small but clean, and we used the shared spaces to eat and relax while our room was just for sleeping and showering. It felt a bit like a hostel with private rooms, and the shoe policy made it feel welcoming, plus everything was close enough to the center without needing many breaks back at the hotel.
